Day 01: First day! Bicycles, Kinkaku-Ji and Shinto Bull Shrine
I landed in Osaka last night after about 26 hours of flying and sitting in terminals. Then I took a 2 hour shuttle ride to the Palace Side Hotel in Kyoto (because my apartment doesn't do check-ins after 9 PM). In the morning I walked with my luggage the remaining two blocks to my apartment. This morning I bought a bicycle (brand new, ~$60) and biked some ridiculous amount of miles looking at shrines and stuff with my two new friends Ondrej and Felix. I could write this up and polish it to give you a much better idea of what all this has been like but I am unbelievably tired. Hopefully these pictures will at least partially make up for that:
